Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced QA Incharge for a contract position within the Steel industry in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Quality Assurance and a minimum of 3 years of experience, with a maximum of 10 years, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of quality control processes within a manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee and manage all Quality Assurance activities within the steel plant operations
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and standards
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
  • Analyze quality data and identify areas for improvement in production processes
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to resolve quality-related issues
  • Train and mentor junior QA staff on quality assurance best practices
  • Prepare detailed quality reports for management review
  • Ensure that all materials and finished products meet specified quality requirements
  • Manage the implementation of corrective and preventive actions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably within the steel industry
  • Proven expertise in QA methodologies and quality control techniques
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in relevant QA software and tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
