Job Description:

Marriott International is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor at the Accra Marriott Hotel. The role involves overseeing procurement, auditing inventory, maintaining food safety standards, reconciling invoices, and supporting team development. Candidates should have at least a high school diploma, 2 years of related work experience, and 1 year in a supervisory position. Marriott International promotes a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Job Responsibility:

Print and organize various necessary documents
summarize relevant information and distribute information to appropriate employees
maintain up-to-date knowledge of company safety programs
adhere to food safety and handling policies
maintain clear and organized records
calculate figures for inventories, orders, and costs
conduct inventory audits
notify manager/supervisor of low stock levels
troubleshoot vendor delivery issues
oversee return process
verify and track received inventory
reconcile shipping invoices and receiving reports
monitor PAR levels for food items
refuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items
assist management in training, scheduling, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees
ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
complete safety training and certifications
follow company policies and procedures
maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
protect company assets
assist employees to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service
develop and maintain positive working relationships
support team to reach common goals
move, lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds
stand, sit, or walk for an extended period.

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
at least 2 years of related work experience
at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
