We are looking for a dedicated Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. In this role, you will assist with overseeing procurement activities, ensuring efficient purchasing processes that align with organizational goals. Job Responsibility:
Manage procurement activities, including sourcing materials and negotiating with vendors to secure favorable terms
Oversee purchasing functions to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services
Coordinate with internal departments to assess material requirements and maintain optimal inventory levels
Monitor supplier performance and address any discrepancies or issues to maintain strong relationships
Prepare and review purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
Evaluate procurement processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor agreements
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational standards in all purchasing activities
Collaborate with stakeholders to forecast future procurement needs and plan accordingly
Requirements:
Proven experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build effective vendor relationships
Proficiency in managing procurement systems and maintaining accurate documentation
Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain principles
Excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate with multiple departments
Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions
Familiarity with industry regulations and standards related to procurement
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred
