Job Description:

An award winning packaging manufacturer is looking for a Production and Purchasing Administrator to help to take the business to the next stage of its journey. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be a very hands on individual who will be required to maintain minimum stock levels, plan production, purchase all the raw materials, as well as material requirements planning.

Job Responsibility:

Materials Requirements Planning – using Sage software to keep check on raw material levels, future production needs and current stock levels
Raw materials purchasing – placing and progressing purchase orders through approved suppliers
Maintaining minimum stock levels – ensuring raw material stock levels are maintained to ensure sales orders and production plans are achieved
Production planning – working closely with sales, production and transport departments to assist with production and transport plan to ensure sales order delivery dates are met
Resource management and maintenance – ensuring maintenance programme of machines and the site is followed
Sales Order Processing – assisting with inputting and acknowledging all sales orders, answering customer enquiries, sending quotations

Requirements:

Excellent communication skills-both verbally and in writing
Experience in Manufacturing
Ideally knowledge of Production Planning or Purchasing
Strong prioritisation skills to manage workload effectively
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and SAGE
Solid understanding of financial processes

Nice to have:

Knowledge of logistics is a plus but not essential
A willingness to learn and embrace challenges
