Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to manage the procurement of materials, supplies, and services necessary for our operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely purchases, negotiating with suppliers, and maintaining accurate records while optimizing cost-efficiency and supplier performance.

Job Responsibility:

Research, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain optimal pricing terms, and delivery schedules
Prepare and issue purchase orders and contracts for goods/services
Coordinate with Install departments to determine purchasing needs and specifications
Track orders and ensure timely delivery
Work with service plumbers to order parts for calls in process
Resolve issues related to shipment delays, damaged goods, or supplier discrepancies
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor performance
Receive all purchase orders into inventory
Stay updated on market trends, supplier changes, and cost fluctuations
Schedule deliveries to the job site
Process Return Good Authorization forms for excess project materials

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar procurement role
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Proficiency in purchasing software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Knowledge of supply chain procedures and inventory management
High school diploma or equivalent
