Work in a team environment as a key resource in procuring the products, equipment and other required materials at competitive price with reliable supplier partners. Responsibilities will include identifying new suppliers, signing NDA’s, sending RFQ’s, negotiate the prices, release of Purchase order / contract / schedules and inward and account the materials as per requirements. Work in close coordination with suppliers to meet customer requirements coordinating along with supporting functions of production and quality to meet the targets. In conjunction with the Purchasing Manager and supporting functions managers, manage Suppliers to provide quality products and deliver the same to relevant Tensator Group locations (Local and overseas) as per agreed timelines. Sourcing, negotiating, and buying of goods and services to meet the Company’s requirements and support team in any other materials functions.
Job Responsibility:
Interface with Purchasing Manager and Production Head to prioritize procurements
Identify potential suppliers and drive supplier selection through cross-functional team qualification
Assess new and existing supplier capabilities to meet product, cost, quality, capacity, and fulfilment
Ensure suppliers meet requirements for performance, quality, cost, and delivery of components as per standards specified by customer
Ensuring supplier assessment, audits, compliance, whilst driving systematic problem solving and process improvement and monitor supplier performance
Ensuring regulatory (national and international ) compliance
Monitor supplier quality plan engagement/effectiveness, and corrective & preventative action
Monitoring stock levels, anticipating needs based on sales and marketing trends and ensuring timely replenishment
Assisting Inventory audits and stock taking
Getting quotes from forwarders for both imports and exports
Tracking the order release from group companies and coordinating with suppliers for timely delivery
Support Purchasing Manager in any other materials functions
Requirements:
Diploma and Degree (any discipline)
Minimum of 3 year’s experience in Purchasing activities of Direct and Indirect materials
Manufacturing company experience preferred
Understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings
Ability to negotiate and have skills of problem solving
PC literate – Microsoft Office
Experience in Sourcing & Materials management
Working knowledge of quality systems
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Confident with the ability to communicate with people at all levels
Tactful and diplomatic with strong negotiation skills
Critical attention to detail
