We are looking for a dynamic Public Relations Leader to elevate our presence and impact across the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia. In this exciting role, you’ll drive and shape the public voice of IKEA in Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia, leading a PR strategy together with local professionals and agencies to bring it to life. You’ll build influence, earn trust, and help the IKEA brand show up with clarity, courage, and care.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the PR strategy for three countries, aligning product and corporate communications with our brand and business goals
  • Provide strategic direction and support to local PR teams, enabling them to deliver proactive, reactive, and activist communications
  • Strengthen our media and influencer relationships across the region, ensuring consistency with local relevance
  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to country communication managers and senior stakeholders
  • Identify and prepare spokespeople, and act as a key spokesperson when needed
  • Drive communication preparedness, manage reputational risks, and lead during moments that matter
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Market Support, and other cross-functional teams to amplify campaigns and messages

Requirements:

  • 8+ years in strategic PR/media relations, ideally with regional/multi-market experience
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills — you inspire others and build capabilities
  • Deep understanding of media landscapes, digital trends, and modern storytelling
  • Experience with high-stakes communication and crisis handling
  • Passion for IKEA’s values, culture, and our mission to be a force for good
  • Fluent English (Czech, Hungarian or Slovak is a plus)
