Job Description:

Amperage Marketing + Fundraising is looking for a Public Relations spring intern (up to 20 hrs/week) to work with the team remotely. The PR intern will assist in developing public relations programs and materials.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support day-to-day PR tactics for a variety of clients
  • Work with the PR team and account managers to communicate progress
  • Track results and help report those results effectively
  • Commit to learning and growing as the ever-evolving media landscape shifts
  • Learn how to pitch media
  • Draft content including press releases, articles, blog posts, social media editorial calendars, social posts and more
  • Learn about creating effective PR strategies
  • Drafting content for various clients’ target audiences
  • Tracking results
  • Developing media lists
  • Communicating with internal teams
  • Organizing key information

Requirements:

  • Journalism, English or Marketing Major
  • Understanding of media landscape and journalistic values
  • Superior writing skills
  • AP-Style familiarity
