Job Description:

Meta is seeking a highly organized and proactive Public Policy Associate to support operational processes and project management related to state and local political contributions, campaigns, and engagements. This role collaborates closely with Finance, Legal, Communications, and other Public Policy teams to advance Meta’s state and local priorities. Candidates should demonstrate a keen interest in public policy and familiarity with Meta products.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage planning, logistics, and tracking for budgets, contracts, legislative work, political engagement, and partner initiatives
  • Maintain and improve team trackers, documentation, and operational processes
  • Support rapid-response efforts and time-sensitive cross-functional projects
  • Coordinate and plan engagement with external state and local policymaker organizations
  • Manage assets for engagements, including visuals, sponsorship materials, and recap communications
  • Track, organize, and operationally support advocacy efforts on state legislation across the United States
  • Develop briefing materials, assessments, and presentations as needed
  • Drive processes leading to clarity and alignment on key priorities for the State & Local Policy Team
  • Provide timely updates and briefings to leadership and internal stakeholders
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely delivery across stakeholders
  • Move with a sense of urgency and remain responsive while collaborating with a global team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in state public policy, government affairs, advocacy, political engagement, finance, or related fields
  • Effective understanding of state legislative processes and stakeholder engagement
  • Demonstrated experience executing advocacy campaigns and cross-functional initiatives
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Proven project and event management experience managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Work autonomously with effective organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite

Nice to have:

  • Proven experience to rapidly earn trust and operate effectively with cross-functional partners
  • Experienced user of Google Sheets (budget experience preferred), Quorum, and similar tools
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex timelines, cross-functional dependencies, and competing priorities
