We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of large-scale utility projects in Dayton, Ohio. This role involves managing project scope, schedules, budgets, and risks while ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions. The ideal candidate will coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the execution of multi-year, multi-million-dollar transmission and distribution projects, ensuring they meet defined scope, schedule, and budget requirements
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation plans while adhering to established project management standards
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, supply chain, regulatory, and operations teams, to ensure project milestones are achieved and conflicts are resolved
Work with engineering and procurement teams to define specifications and scopes of work for contracted activities, ensuring compliance with project requirements and minimizing change orders
Oversee the tracking and reporting of project costs, including incurred expenses and forecasts, and provide detailed breakdowns for monthly reviews and reporting
Assist in defining material requirements and partner with procurement teams to ensure timely acquisition of resources for project execution
Analyze labor, material, and equipment needs across projects to identify cost efficiencies and optimize resource allocation
Ensure all contracted work is completed according to specifications and negotiated agreements, maintaining high standards of quality
Coordinate risk management activities to identify and mitigate potential project challenges
Prepare and present regular project updates to stakeholders and management, ensuring transparency and alignment
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is required
Project Management certification (PMP) is preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience managing large-scale construction or transmission projects
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
Proven ability to coordinate across diverse teams and resolve conflicts effectively
Experience working with procurement processes and managing material and equipment requirements
Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
Strong communication skills to present project updates and collaborate with stakeholders
