We're looking for a Project Manager to lead complex automation projects from concept to completion. As a Project Manager, you'll be the driving force behind multi-million dollar initiatives - ensuring quality, timeliness, and customer satisfaction. Job Responsibility:
Manages the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple or large-scale automation projects <$10M in combined volume
Leads the project team to execute projects on schedule, at or below budget delivering the contracted scope of work
Key customer contact for assigned projects
Manage project risks including assessment, identification, and developing mitigation plans
Oversee project schedule development and identify all critical path activities
Manage project resources
Project financial management including billing, invoicing, and forecasting
Team leadership and mentoring
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards
Pro-actively handle customer concerns
Assist Applications Engineering with preparing quotations and customer interaction
Attend project status meetings
Manage project change requests
Requirements:
Post-secondary college diploma, engineering degree or equivalent, specializing in electronics, electrical, mechanical or controls engineering
Completion of or in the process of achieving the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset
Must have experience managing automation projects in excess of $10 million with multiple disciplinary teams
Must have a proven track record of providing positive leadership and coordination to a multi-disciplined project design and construction team
Must have acted in a leading role with a minimum of three years’ experience in a variety of projects/markets on a multidiscipline team
Preference will be given to those who possess an excellent manufacturing or process engineering background, a superior mechanical aptitude and proven trouble-shooting skills
An ability to work effectively with customers according to deadlines and under pressure-filled conditions is essential
Must be familiar with the use of computerized word processing and computerized spreadsheets and AutoCAD or similar drawing package
