Job Description:

As a Project Manager Expansion at IKEA, you’ll be at the heart of the strategic growth journey, leading complex retail establishment projects throughout the Netherlands. This includes ensuring projects meet the agreed timeframe, budget, and quality standards, coaching and developing project teams, and optimizing how the organization works. The role involves contributing to IKEA’s goal of strategic, sustainable, and customer-focused retail development.

Job Responsibility:

Lead, develop and motivate the local project team, including travel throughout the Netherlands
Deliver project milestones within agreed timeline, budget and quality according to the project brief
Preparation of projects in the pre-project phase, budget estimation, cost management, and implementation of large-scale multi-layered commercial rebuilds
Identify, mitigate and manage risks before and during establishment projects
Identify, communicate and collaborate across functions and with stakeholders to maximize impact

Requirements:

Experience in retail or real estate project management and cost management skills
Knowledge of financial tools and planning
Good leadership and stakeholder skills, you know how to build trustful relationships with all stakeholders
It’s preferred if you have an understanding of the IKEA Retail Expansion Process and business operations
It’s preferred if you have experience in managing change in complex environments
Strong presentation and communication skills in English, Dutch is not required but is preferred
