As a Project Manager / Institutional, your mission is to manage and advance the institutional projects. Drawing upon your expertise and innovative mindset, you will lead projects with ESA, EC, DLR and other institutions for the purpose of an ongoing development program. Your collaborative and forward-thinking approach will be instrumental in achieving our objectives: revolutionizing space accessibility and advancing the frontiers of the space industry.
Ensure project milestones are met according to plan
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for the institutional projects
Derive mission and technical requirements for launch system architecture
Create systems architectures and definition of functional analysis
Perform concept studies and trade-offs
Communicate effectively with project contributors as well as between company and external stakeholders
Create and manager high-quality project and technical documentation in accordance with external stakeholder expectation, e.g ESA, to ensure future grant and project involvement.
Support proposal writing for institutional bids
Requirements:
Master study in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or similar
At least 5 years work experience as project manager, including external stakeholder management
At least 2 years work experience in an institutional environment
Strong project management skills, and a strong sense of ownership and responsibility for successfully delivering the ESA project
Basic understanding of mechanical, avionics and propulsion systems
Experience with material selection and make vs. buy decisions for system components
Positive and flexible attitude to get the job done
Proactive mindset, which enables you to foresee potential issues and opportunities, and act on them ahead of time.
Can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills to communicate at all levels of the business and with relevant stakeholders
Fluent English and German language skills
Nice to have:
Experience a Young Graduate Trainee at ESA or other European institution
Experience in design of mechanical systems
