The Project Management Supervisor will provide supervision to CIP staff within the project management division of the engineering department and will also be responsible for directly managing CIP projects. Anticipated breakout would be approximately 60-80 percent as a supervisor and 20-40 percent of their time managing projects. The projects entail leading, managing, and coordinating complex and technically challenging capital improvement, department operational projects from establishment of project scope through completion including warranty period if applicable.

Organize public meetings to solicit input for project development/design
Provide information to public regarding planned and current projects
Provide information and updates to CIP Manager and City Engineer
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Minimum five years of experience in a related field
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to read and interpret general correspondence, memorandums, letters, blueprints, construction plans, contract documents, technical specifications, engineering drawings
Ability to perform general through complex math calculations
Ability to write general correspondence, memorandums, letters, reports

Nice to have:
Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE) with eight or more years of experience in civil engineering design and/or management of capital improvement transportation and infrastructure projects
At least one year of experience mentoring technical or professional staff
At least one year of experience working in a government environment
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or closely related field
Strong background in delivering complex, multi-disciplinary projects with focus on heavy civil design and construction
Demonstrated success in collaborating with project owners and stakeholders
Well-versed in government procurement procedures
Experience in monitoring project budgets, expenditures, and managing consultant and construction contracts
