Job Description:

Saunders Aqua Metro is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our dynamic team delivering critical water infrastructure projects across Melbourne. This is a site-based role offering the opportunity to work on challenging projects within the water industry while being part of a collaborative and safety-focused team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop monthly accruals, forecasts, costing and progress reports
  • Prepare project change orders and track scope changes
  • Manage cost control including invoice approvals and cost coding
  • Prepare RFQs and raise Purchase Orders per Delegation of Authority
  • Develop and maintain construction work packs, SWMS, CMS, and ITPs
  • Register, track and close out RFIs and review IFCs
  • Assist with commissioning plans and as-built documentation
  • Participate in client meetings and prepare meeting minutes
  • Support O&M manual compilation and project handover activities
  • Ensure defects are promptly rectified

Requirements:

  • You must be based in the Melbourne area - this is a site-based role requiring local presence
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Essential)
  • 3-5 years' experience in an engineering role within the water industry
  • Demonstrated experience in the water/utilities sector is essential
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to work effectively in team environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
