Job Description:

The RTU Engineer with expertise in Schneider, Broderson, Siemens, RedLion etc. with additional skills in PLC (Siemens/ Rockwell/ Schneider) & SCADA – Clear SCADA, WinCC, RSView responsible for the configuration, deployment, and integration of Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) into SCADA systems across various industries like utilities, oil & gas, and water management. The engineer will focus on ensuring seamless communication between field devices and the Clear SCADA system, as well as overseeing the testing, commissioning, and support of these systems.

Job Responsibility:

  • Configure Schneider RTUs for industrial applications
  • Integrate Schneider RTUs with Clear SCADA for real-time data collection
  • Ensure smooth communication between RTUs and the Clear SCADA system using industrial protocols
  • Develop and configure Clear SCADA system to interface with Schneider RTUs
  • Create SCADA tags, set up alarms, and configure data points
  • Troubleshoot and optimize SCADA-RTU communication
  • Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for Schneider RTU systems
  • Validate the RTU configurations
  • Troubleshoot any issues identified during testing phases
  • Plan and manage on-site installation, commissioning, and configuration of Schneider RTUs
  • Conduct field tests and performance checks
  • Provide technical support and supervision to field teams
  • Configure and troubleshoot communication protocols
  • Design network configurations for RTU systems
  • Diagnose and resolve communication and networking issues
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Ensure all RTU and SCADA deployments comply with standards and regulations
  • Document test results, system logs, and troubleshooting efforts
  • Provide ongoing technical support to clients
  • Train client personnel on the operation and maintenance of systems
  • Develop user manuals and technical guides
  • Perform upgrades and preventive maintenance on Schneider RTU systems
  • Work on expanding existing SCADA systems
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential issues

Requirements:

  • 3 to 10 years experience
  • RTU engineers (Schneider, Broderson, Siemens, RedLion etc.)
