Job Description:

We are currently looking for a candidate for the position of Project Buyer (he / she) for our client from the automotive industry. Required availability: ASAP. At the Engineering Competence Center, we deliver services and projects for the Automotive, Rail, and Oil & Gas sectors.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsibility for selecting, evaluating, and contracting suppliers of electronic components, hardware, software, and dedicated equipment
  • Management of QCTR indicators – full responsibility for Quality, Cost, Time, and Risk in the area of purchasing from the prototype stage, through industrialization, to production ramp-up
  • Monitoring the achievement of objectives and taking corrective action
  • Cooperation with engineering (R&D), active participation in development work with project teams
  • Identification of technical solutions to reduce product cost (Cost-to-Market / Design-to-Cost)
  • Continuous control of BOM (Bill of Materials), analysis of the impact of changes on cost, schedule, and component availability
  • Managing supplier risk, developing risk minimization plans and alternative purchasing scenarios
  • Close communication with R&D, production engineering, quality, finance, logistics, and planning departments
  • Participation in design reviews, reporting on purchasing status, and escalating critical issues

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in production purchasing (Hard Requirement)
  • Experience in the automotive industry, knowledge of quality and design standards (APQP, PPAP, IATF 16949)
  • Experience in purchasing electronics, components for BMS (Battery Management Systems) or cooperation on projects with A-Spice requirements is essential
  • Very good knowledge of English (B2/C1) – conducting negotiations, meetings, project reviews, contract correspondence, and daily cooperation with global suppliers
  • Negotiation and analytical skills
