Job Description:

Are you a detail-oriented individual with experience in client billing? Do you have a passion for providing billing and invoicing support to project teams? We are seeking a Project Billing Specialist to join our team in Marion, IA who has previously worked in the construction industry or similar. This is an onsite position requiring basic accounting knowledge and prior experience in client billing and invoicing. If you're motivated by the chance to collaborate with project managers and foremen, ensure accurate project setup, and prepare client invoices throughout the project, this opportunity might be perfect for you!

Job Responsibility:

Accurately and promptly set up client projects in the ERP system
Prepare and post project accounting adjustments, including updates to estimates, contracts, change orders, project types, and purchase order tracking
Manage time and material adjustments as necessary
Review the collaboration tool to determine client billing requirements and prepare invoices using reports such as unbilled work in progress, purchase orders, and material invoices
Review and resolve project-related sales and use tax issues

Requirements:

Associate’s degree in accounting, business administration, or a related discipline, along with 2+ years of relevant experience
OR A combination of education and work experience demonstrating success in a similar role
Previous experience working in the construction, architecture, or similar industry is preferred
Proficiency with Windows Operating Systems and the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
ERP experience is required
