Job Description:

This is a senior, influential role within a large and mature change portfolio. As Programme Manager, you will take full ownership of large-scale business change programmes from conception through to delivery and operational handover. These programmes span multiple departments and disciplines, and are directly aligned to the organisation's strategic objectives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide senior-level leadership and strategic direction across major programmes
  • Act as the single point of accountability for programme performance, risks, issues, dependencies and change
  • Present a clear, consolidated view of progress to C-suite and Board-level stakeholders
  • Lead and influence multi-disciplinary, matrix-managed teams, ensuring consistent delivery standards and governance
  • Manage cross-programme dependencies, resource allocation and budget control
  • Oversee programme budgets typically ranging from £250k to £10m
  • Manage and assure third-party suppliers and contracts where required
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Senior Managers, providing expertise in governance, planning, reporting, risk and change management

Requirements:

  • Full end-to-end Programme Management at a senior level
  • Delivery of complex, high-value, high-profile programmes
  • Strong governance, risk, issue and change management experience
  • Business change delivery across multiple functions, including IT
  • Senior stakeholder engagement, including Board and C-suite
  • Matrix management of Project and Programme Managers
  • Supplier and contract management experience
  • Ability to work hybrid/remote while building strong internal relationships
  • Experience working within a structured MSP and PRINCE2 environment is essential
  • MSP and/or PRINCE2 certification strongly preferred
