Job Description:

The task of IKEA Components within IKEA is to pursue the development of future unique and customer-friendly solutions within fittings and components to the IKEA range. We create substantial cost and quality benefits for IKEA in our development and trade of raw materials, components and fittings. IKEA Components is part of the IKEA group and shares the IKEA vision and values. Our business is global and employs 1300 people based in Sweden, Slovakia and China. Through co-operation with IKEA Purchasing Offices, we are also represented at several other sites around the world.

Job Responsibility:

lead the engineering and quality implementation/industrialization of new materials as well as improvement of existing range
contribute to the development projects from a technical perspective
develop and improve existing materials and technologies
secure usage of standards when possible and/or standardization of existing and proven materials
lead product deviation process, secure root-cause analysis, implementation of corrective and preventive actions
secure implementation of new and updated requirements

Requirements:

solid experience and deep knowledge of the (Plastic injection and/or Steel stamping) industry
very good knowledge of the product requirements, standards and test methods
ability to make decisions and solve problems with a holistic view
capability to lead projects and secure implementation
know how to build and maintain business relations
good communicator in English, both written and verbal
respect values and stand by your opinions

Nice to have:

familiar with Quality tools (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.)
