In this role, you’ll play a critical part in keeping our production operations running smoothly and efficiently. By bringing your eye for detail, problem-solving mindset, and drive for continuous improvement, you’ll help us improve real-time visibility into key performance metrics, resolve system challenges, and ensure accuracy across production control processes. Your ability to analyze trends, guide teammates as a subject matter expert, and collaborate closely with leadership will directly shape how we make data-driven decisions and keep our manufacturing operations moving forward. This is a chance to make a measurable impact on a high-performing team while growing your own expertise in operations and production control.
Job Responsibility:
Manage end-to-end Production Order workflows, including creation, release, and closure of work orders while ensuring accurate routing, material allocation, and tracking of order status to support on-time production execution
Validate Bill of Materials (BOMs) and routings before releasing production orders and travelers to the manufacturing floor
ensure system accuracy and escalate discrepancies to Engineering or Product teams for resolution
Collaborate closely with Engineering on Engineering Work Orders (EWOs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to ensure timely implementation of product changes and accurate reflection of revisions in the production process
Coordinate and execute quarterly and year-end physical inventory counts, as well as routine cycle counts
reconcile variances and support internal audits with detailed reporting and root cause analysis
Monitor and analyze production performance metrics (e.g., WIP status, throughput, rework, scrap rates), and partner with operations and quality teams to drive resolution of issues impacting schedule adherence
Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Finance teams on scrap reporting processes
ensure accurate documentation, root cause input, and alignment with cost tracking systems
Create and manage material movement and consumption journals in ERP/MRP systems (Microsoft Dynamics D365), ensuring accurate traceability of inventory usage and adjustments in real time
Support capacity planning and constraint analysis, identifying scheduling gaps, bottlenecks, and labor or equipment constraints to improve production flow and planning accuracy
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production planning and control processes, including scheduling logic, work order release practices, and material staging
Generate and maintain reports and dashboards that provide real-time insight into production trends, material readiness, inventory position, and order execution performance for leadership and cross-functional partners
Requirements:
2–4 years of experience in production control, materials planning, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing or high-volume production environment
Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite), including work order management, BOM validation, inventory transactions, and journal entries
Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams, including support for Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Engineering Work Orders (EWOs)
Solid understanding of production workflows and manufacturing documentation, including travelers, routings, BOMs, and materials consumption
Ability to analyze production and inventory data, identify trends, and drive process improvements
proficiency in Excel, dashboards, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau) preferred
Knowledge of inventory control principles, including physical inventory counts, cycle count programs, variance analysis, and reconciliation best practices
Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic production environment
Nice to have:
Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices is a plus (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, root cause analysis, standard work)
