Job Description:

Senior Vice President role in Model Risk Management's System Strategy and Oversight team, responsible for driving product strategy, program management, governance, and continuous enhancement of the Model Risk Management System. The role focuses on modernizing Citi's model risk infrastructure to ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and strategic alignment.

Job Responsibility:

Lead initiatives to redesign and reengineer the Model Risk Management System (MRMS)
Develop and execute a multiyear roadmap for Model Risk Management
Translate policy and procedural requirements into detailed process flows, system requirements, and actionable project plans
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Risk, Model Development, Validation, Technology, and Business Management functions
Author comprehensive business requirements and partner with technology teams
Drive system enhancements that simplify model lifecycle management processes
Integrate emerging technologies such as Gen AI
Improve risk metrics reporting and documentation digitization
Prioritize initiatives and provide governance over IT project delivery
Define and oversee system quality standards, preventive control mechanisms, and UAT processes
Maintain strong control, governance, and documentation practices
Assess risk when business decisions are made

Requirements:

Minimum 14 years of professional experience
5+ years in product development, technology-driven system enhancement, or governance roles
Prior experience in model risk management, model development, model validation, or similar risk/control functions within financial institutions
Familiarity with regulatory guidance on model risk management, including SR 11-7 and SR 15-18
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives involving risk management, technology, and process reengineering
Demonstrated expertise in implementing document digitization and metrics
Hands-on experience with database design, SQL for analysis, and reporting frameworks
Working knowledge of emerging technologies, including experience building Proofs-of-Concept (POCs) in Python, R, or similar programming languages
Strong project management discipline
Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office tools
Master's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline

Nice to have:

Experience with Generative AI models
Experience in driving integration with Generative AI models
