The Packaging Engineer will play a key role in the Packaging Center of Excellence (COE) within R&D. This position focuses on designing, prototyping, and qualifying packaging solutions for medical devices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting packaging system verification and validation. This is a temporary hybrid position requiring on-site presence three days per week.
Job Responsibility:
Design, prototype, and qualify packaging concepts for medical devices in alignment with design control requirements
Evaluate and improve existing packaging systems with a focus on quality and regulatory compliance
Analyze and specify packaging materials and equipment for flexible and rigid applications
Collaborate with external contractors and internal teams as required
Communicate technical knowledge effectively and validate understanding of packaging test methods and standards
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in medical device packaging
Proven expertise in packaging system development, including flexible and rigid packaging applications
Hands-on experience with packaging system verification and validation processes
Proficiency in CAD tools for packaging design
Experience with statistics and design of experiments
Working knowledge of packaging engineering principles, legal requirements, and design control processes
Ability to apply statistical methods and design experiments
Effective communication and technical collaboration skills
Knowledgeable in packaging materials, equipment, and processes
Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field
