The Global Procurement Center of Excellence, within the Solar division, intends to strengthen its team with the hiring of a Procurement Specialist – Solar & BESS.
Job Responsibility:
Drive and support the Procurement Manager Solar and BESS in all strategic initiatives towards the goal of achieving long-term partnerships with suppliers
Execution of RFIs, RFPs/RFQs and any necessary bid process to evaluate product options and select the right supplier for a given project or set of projects
Manage negotiations regarding purchase Solar and BESS supply agreements (Global Frame Agreements, Solar Supply/Warranty/O&M contracts, etc), involving as required other EDP areas
Compliance with EDP internal approval processes and guidelines (procurement committees, formal capex approval systems, integrity due diligences, etc)
Contribute to develop a close network with all Solar and BESS industry players and stakeholders having an impact on EDP Solar business, including current and potential entrant suppliers (provide strategic market intelligence)
Cross-functional support/interaction/relationships with other EDP areas, playing a pivotal role: Legal, Business Development, Technology, Construction, Operations & Asset Management, M&A, Origination, Finance, Risk, Energy Assessment, Tax&Accounting
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field
2-3+ years of relevant experience in Renewables Industry, preferably Solar or BESS in roles in Procurement, Project Management or Commercial
Experience with supply contract negotiation and management, contract models and industry terms and conditions
Experience with strategic equipment procurement tenders, and market competitive analysis
Competency in the development of Business Relationships
Very strong work-ethic, communication skills, multi-tasking abilities and innovative thinking with a focus on challenging and improving the status-quo
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability
Superior negotiation skills
Leadership skills and ability to be self-motivated
