Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee government procurement processes and ensure compliance with public sector regulations. This long-term contract position is based in Atlanta, Georgia, and requires expertise in managing budgets, negotiating contracts, and sourcing resources for government operations.

Job Responsibility:

Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored to public sector requirements
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and high-quality services
Conduct market research to stay informed on industry trends and recommend innovative solutions
Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts with vendors, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards
Monitor procurement activities to ensure adherence to all relevant laws, policies, and budget constraints
Analyze existing contracts to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and align procurement strategies accordingly
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and key partners
Generate detailed reports on procurement activities and present findings to senior management
Provide expert guidance on procurement best practices and risk management strategies

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within a government entity
Demonstrated ability to optimize procurement strategies and manage complex processes
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
Proficiency in procurement software, including Tyler Technologies Munis
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Familiarity with county government operations and public bid laws
Proven track record of working within budget constraints while delivering high-quality results
