KP Staffing is now hiring a process technician for a company in Fort Worth, TX! Our client is a well-established manufacturing organization where injection molding machines (IMMs) and robotics are critical to daily production operations. The company places a strong emphasis on equipment reliability, continuous improvement, safety, and meeting customer delivery commitments.
Job Responsibility:
Partner with the Shift Lead and Production Supervisor to monitor and support completion of weekly preventive maintenance (PM) programs for injection molding machines and molds
provide improvement recommendations as needed
Collaborate with Process Engineers and Automation Engineers to assess and implement new or revised robotic programs for new machines, molds, or efficiency improvements
Perform emergency maintenance and troubleshooting on molds, robots, IMMs, and auxiliary equipment
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities related to machines, methods, materials, and processes to improve production output and defect prevention
Conduct root cause analysis on equipment and process issues and document findings and corrective actions
Work closely with Mold PM Technicians, Process Technicians, and Process Engineers to perform mold setups, repairs, and related technical functions
Provide recommendations and support process engineering in setting up machines to meet specified parameters, production goals, and cycle time improvements
Attend and actively participate in meetings with employees and leadership
assist in communicating and implementing outcomes from meetings
Operate production and maintenance equipment as required, including forklifts, man lifts, and other equipment (certification required)
Coordinate with PM Maintenance and PM Mold Technicians to ensure spare parts are stocked and ordered as needed
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and electrical meters to perform maintenance and diagnostics
Adapt to changing job demands based on production and workflow needs
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a technician with injection molding experience
Working knowledge of robotics and automation systems
Exposure to Scientific Molding technology preferred
Strong leadership, judgment, time management, and critical-thinking skills
Solid mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical troubleshooting skills
Strong math aptitude and problem-solving ability
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Office 365 preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
College coursework or associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to stand, sit, stoop, reach, grasp, and work for extended periods
Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to work in high-noise environments with proper PPE
Strict adherence to all safety policies and PPE requirements
Nice to have:
Exposure to Scientific Molding technology preferred
College coursework or associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred
