Job Description:

As a Boiler / Crushing Operator at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of boilers, turbines, generators and the bagasse system during crushing operations, ensuring steam and power demands are met in compliance with site and statutory requirements. This is a permanent position in our sugar processing factory which requires shift work during the crushing season (June - December), including weekends and overtime and day work during the maintenance period (Jan - May).

Job Responsibility:

  • Operate and monitor steam supply and condensate systems to ensure reliable and efficient energy delivery across the site
  • Support the operation of the milling train and crushing station to maintain steady throughput and minimise disruption
  • Manage bagasse, ash and feedwater systems to support continuous boiler and powerhouse operations
  • Safely operate powerhouse equipment, including boilers, turbines and generators, to meet crushing and factory power demands
  • Monitor boiler water chemistry and adjust chemical dosing systems to maintain compliance and protect plant integrity
  • Conduct all activities in line with site procedures, statutory requirements and high-risk licence conditions
