Job Description:

Join Bühler's Special Grains & Pulses BU to advance oat processing technology. As Technologist – Oat Milling, you'll design and validate processes, run trials, scale results to industry, and support customers from concept to commissioning. You will collaborate closely with Sales for project development, Engineering, R&D.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and standardize oat milling processes based on market and customer needs
  • Create and review flowsheets and process specifications
  • perform mass/energy balances and scale-up
  • Act as the central technical-commercial advisor for customers and our global sales/service network
  • Prepare customer-specific concepts and ensure smooth handover with Quotation, Engineering, Technology, and Design
  • Provide technological consulting, plant evaluations, and on-site commissioning and performance tests
  • Coach, train, and develop local sales and service teams
  • define training needs and deliver content
  • Plan, execute, and evaluate pilot trials
  • translate data into customer project inputs
  • Deliver trainings and workshops and produce clear technical documentation and reports
  • Collaborate with the Application Center and R&D to identify gaps and drive innovation initiatives

Requirements:

  • Trained Miller (preferably oats) or Food/Process/Mechanical Engineer with milling/food processing experience
  • Hands-on with processing lines and measurements
  • strong in flow sheet creation, process design, and scale-up
  • Already developed or open to development as technica backup for salesforce in plant and process equipment
  • Persuasive communicator
  • organized, autonomous, and culturally adept
  • Fluent in English
  • German as a plus
  • Willingness to travel
