Job Description:

An experienced Private Client Solicitor role focused on providing exceptional legal services in Wills, Trusts, and Probate matters, offering flexible working arrangements within a high-performing law firm.

Job Responsibility:

Providing expert advice on inheritance tax, estate planning, and the drafting of Wills and Trusts
Advising on agricultural and business property reliefs, as well as other tax reliefs applicable to estates and trusts
Drafting Trust provisions for testamentary and inter vivos trusts
Taking instructions for complex Wills and ensuring they meet clients’ specific needs and objectives
Managing the administration of estates and trusts, including preparing returns for probate and liaising with HMRC
Assisting clients with Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), from taking instructions to managing registration
Contributing to marketing efforts and supporting business development initiatives

Requirements:

Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (5-6 years PQE)
Proven experience handling complex private client matters, including Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, and Trusts
STEP qualification or accreditation is desirable but not essential
Ability to manage a caseload independently and efficiently

Nice to have:

STEP qualification or accreditation
Strong organisational and time management skills
Business development experience
Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
