Principal Software Engineer

• Drive growth of product, team, and company
• Have significant voice in product decisions including roadmap prioritization, project scopes, and technical direction
• Take end-to-end ownership of projects from product/design/architecture to deployment/monitoring/measuring impact
• Work across stack covering DevOps to styling
• Deploy small incremental changes to production multiple times daily
• Help scale product, architecture and processes as customer base grows
• Collaborate while maintaining autonomy
• Engage with customers, understand their experience, and iterate products based on feedback

• 12-15+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience building web apps and designing/implementing features from start to finish (full-stack, using Typescript and ideally AWS)
• Experience spearheading engineering of critical systems with best-in-class tooling in AWS, IaaC, observability and quality assessments
• Understanding of building highly reliable & well architected products with quality, observability & redundancy
• Comfortable moving across the stack and problem solving from first principles
• Ability to take ownership of projects
• Team player who helps maximize team performance
• Comfortable tackling ambiguous problems and making autonomous decisions
• Prepared to undertake pair-programming interview stage in Javascript or Typescript

• Exceptional performance in academics, sport, or work
• Love for engineering beyond job (open-source contributions, side-projects)
• Confidence tackling ambiguous problems and producing quality code
