Job Description:

We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer - SASE to develop highly secure SD-WAN/SASE products for on-prem and cloud environments. This is a key software engineering position. The candidate will analyze customer requirements, propose novel solutions to integrate SASE and SD-WAN technologies, and architect and implement the solution. Software performance engineering is a major responsibility of this role. This is a US based position, in our San Jose, CA office on a hybrid work schedule.

Job Responsibility:

  • Architect, design, develop, install, configure, manage, monitor, and troubleshoot new/existing hardware/virtual platforms for both on-prem and cloud environments
  • Proactively work on improving the quality and performance of Silver Peak’s EdgeConnect product

Requirements:

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Strong C/C++ programming and debugging skills
  • Expertise in IPSec/SSL VPN and Firewall technologies
  • Strong networking background, including routing, switching technologies
  • Proven background in data path development preferably using DPDK
  • Strong multicore software development background
  • Expertise in Virtualization and Containerization technologies
  • 12-15+ years of experience
