Job Description:

Primary SEN Teaching Assistant – £115 – £120 per day – Term-Time Only. Are you passionate about supporting young children with special educational needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment? If so, this friendly and welcoming primary school in Greenwich has a fantastic opportunity for you! A well-regarded Infant and Junior School in the Borough of Greenwich is seeking a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a term-time only, full-time role paid on a daily rate.

Job Responsibility:

Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional learning needs
Assisting with EHCP targets and adapting activities to suit individual needs
Supporting class teachers in managing behaviour and promoting engagement
Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Liaising with SENCOs, parents, and external professionals when needed

Requirements:

Experience working with children with special educational needs in a school or similar setting
Patient, empathetic, and calm under pressure
Proactive, enthusiastic, and able to build strong relationships with young children
Able to follow support plans and use your initiative
A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
