Job Description:

Manitoulin-Sudbury District Services Board (DSB) is looking for a self-motivated & energetic individual to join our industry-leading organization which works towards the delivery of high-quality services and programs to the residents of Manitoulin-Sudbury Districts.

Job Responsibility:

  • Participate fully with the provision of patient care within their scope of practice, including supportive and advocacy activities both within the health care setting and in community
  • Adhere to all applicable Legislation and Policies

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an approved Paramedic Program as defined in Legislation by the Province of Ontario
  • Registered Advanced Emergency Medical Care Assistant in the province of Ontario
  • Qualified to be employed as a Primary Care Paramedic as per Manitoulin-Sudbury DSB Policy and as per all current Legislation as amended from time to time
  • Hold a valid certification authorized by the Medical Director from Health Sciences North Centre for Prehospital Care to the minimum level of a Primary Care Paramedic in the Province of Ontario
  • Physically and psychologically able to successfully perform the full range of duties required of a Primary Care Paramedic, in urban, rural, and remote geographic settings likely to be encountered in the PCP role with Manitoulin-Sudbury DSB
  • Highly motivated, empathetic, able to accept responsibility for essential workplace activities, appropriately assertive and an advocate for patients, exceptional active listening skills, professionalism, capacity, effectively manage occupational stress related to the role of a Paramedic, ease in public speaking skills
