Are you an experienced Workshop Controller or Service Manager looking for a rare opportunity to join one of the largest Motor Retailers within the UK? If so, we have the perfect role for you. Now is the ideal time to join our Sunderland team as we continue to grow, with our purpose built BMW & MINI preparation centre, that delivers prepared “forecourt ready” vehicles to our Northeast sites.

Job Responsibility:

  • Implementing and maintaining effective processes to achieve the highest possible standards and service levels
  • Manage the throughput of prep vehicles for mechanical, cosmetic, and alloy wheel repairs as well as valet and logistics
  • Maximising the productivity of the team which includes Technicians, cosmetic repairers, vehicle progressor and valeters
  • Managing the team and maintaining the adherence to the Vertu values
  • Ensuring that the Manufacturers/Vertu standards are adhered to at all times
  • Maintaining a safe working environment
  • Coaching and measuring colleague performance
  • Drive the business forward and maximise customer satisfaction whilst motivating and managing the whole team

Requirements:

  • Experienced Workshop Controller or Service Manager
  • Successful track record within the industry
  • Ability to generate outstanding results by increasing performance, profitability and operating efficiency
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Ability to lead a team to deliver business objectives
