Job Description:

To construct, assemble, maintain and repair shuttering and moulds used in the manufacture of precast concrete components, ensuring all moulds meet drawing specifications, quality standards and production requirements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications for precast components
  • Build, assemble and dismantle shuttering and moulds using timber, steel and formwork systems
  • Set out moulds accurately to required dimensions, tolerances and finishes
  • Install cast-in items such as rebates, block-outs, chamfers, fixings and lifting anchors
  • Adjust and repair moulds to ensure repeated use and consistent quality
  • Ensure moulds are clean, square, sealed and prepared for casting
  • Work closely with steel fixers and precast operatives to ensure reinforcement fits correctly within moulds
  • Carry out quality checks prior to concrete pours
  • Follow all health & safety procedures within the manufacturing facility
  • Support continuous improvement of mould designs and production efficiency
  • Must be capable on reading drawings and setting moulds out

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a shuttering carpenter
  • Must have a Valid CSCS Card
  • Valid Work Permit / Right to Work in UK
