Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Postgres Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join a Government Consulting company supporting an Army ICAM (Identity, Credential, and Access Management) program. This position offers a 100% remote work environment. The Postgres SME will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing Postgres database systems to ensure security, performance, and reliability.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design, implement, and maintain high-performance Postgres database environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues
  • Apply database security best practices and ensure data integrity
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver database solutions
  • Manage database backups and recovery processes
  • Stay updated on industry trends and Postgres best practices

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Postgres Database Administrator or SME
  • Advanced knowledge of Postgres administration (configuration, tuning, monitoring), SQL, and PL/pgSQL programming
  • Security+ or equivalent
  • PostgreSQL Certified Professional (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • U.S. Citizenship and Active Secret Clearance
