Job Description:

The Plumbing Install Lead is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing complex residential installations, including sewer/water line replacements and major system upgrades. This role requires a unique blend of technical plumbing expertise, heavy equipment operation, and team management. The Lead ensures projects stay on schedule, remain profitable, and culminate in a five-star customer experience.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage the daily operations of the installation crew, ensuring all members are productive, safe, and following the project scope
  • Safely operate backhoes, excavators, and other heavy machinery for trenching, pipe laying, and site restoration
  • Oversee and perform complex plumbing installations to ensure they meet local codes and company quality standards
  • Act as the primary point of contact on-site, managing customer expectations, explaining the process, and resolving any concerns with a customer service-focused background
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site, manage inventory and materials for each project, and ensure equipment is properly maintained
  • Utilize company technology to track job progress, upload photos, and manage tasks within ServiceTitan
  • Conduct final inspections of all work to ensure zero defects and high customer satisfaction ratings

Requirements:

  • At least 3-5+ years of experience in a lead plumbing installation role
  • Proven experience operating a backhoe or other heavy equipment is highly preferred
  • Possession of a CDL license is a significant advantage for transporting equipment and materials
  • Strong understanding of residential plumbing systems and underground utility installation
  • Basic technology skills are required
  • must be comfortable using a smartphone and iPad for daily reporting
  • A background in customer service is preferred to effectively communicate with homeowners and build rapport
  • Experience with ServiceTitan software is a significant plus
