Planner/Scheduler position for a Medical Device Company. Duration: 12+ Months Contract. Total Hours/week: 40.00.
Job Responsibility:
Responsible for managing a global supply plan for assigned products to maximize service levels to customers and optimize working capital spend
Execute deployment - allocation in short supply situations - translate business & inventory needs into supply requirements
Engage with the other worldwide planning organization on management of long-term product supply shortages e.g., temporarily reduce inventory targets in order to automate the propagation & distribution of the materials with shortages, creation of manual allocation to the regions to allow fair share deployment and intercompany shipments
Facilitate North America manufacturing plants supply reviews and represent global information
Ensures timely collection and review of the appropriate information required for this forum to accurately determine global production plan
Interface with all regionals demand planners and supply planners for assessment and understanding of their needs
Support worldwide Supply Chain key initiatives to accomplish best-in-class forecast accuracy, back order performance and line fill rates
Support continuous improvement and cost reduction or efficiency initiatives of the assigned platform
Support the business launch strategy from a supply chain point of view (Start-up of lines for stock build, Shelf life management, etc.)
Responsible for achieving global performance metrics of Back order, Line fill and Inventory levels of its portfolio
Consolidate and challenge the regional input for the annual volume planning process
Work with regional supply chain teams to achieve an optimal distribution network and maintain a key coordination point with local warehouse management and transportation functions
Requirements:
Experienced and demonstrated working knowledge of ERP/SAP/MRP systems
Strong data analytics
Experience with inventory management
Knowledge and awareness of Lean techniques and Six Sigma
Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, QlikView, Tableau, etc.) a plus
Strong interpersonal skills required in the areas of verbal and written communications, customer focus and professionalism
Strong listening, questioning, problem-solving and assessment skills
Must have knowledge of demand, supply, and capacity planning
Demonstrated customer-centric focus
Detail-oriented individual with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficient in the use of MS Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, graphs and macros is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or Operations required with a minimum of 5 years of related experience
or equivalent combination of education and experience
APICS Certification a plus
Nice to have:
