Job Responsibility:

  • Lead extensive photo and video research across a vast array of genres, including historic/archival, fine art, conceptual, still life, fashion, and celebrity portraiture
  • Synthesize complex creative input into compelling visual solutions that align with the brand’s distinctive aesthetic
  • Proactively source unique imagery by engaging directly with photographers, artists, and galleries, going beyond standard stock houses
  • Master all aspects of image licensing, including skillful price negotiations, meticulous contract execution, and seamless final art delivery
  • Support critical editorial photography and video initiatives, ensuring visual excellence across all projects
  • Collaborate closely with design and product teams, providing invaluable visual insights and guidance
  • Maintain the highest standards of visual quality, attention to detail, and brand authenticity across all content
  • Adapt quickly to rapid changes and short timelines, demonstrating flexibility and ingenuity in problem-solving

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant photo editing or multimedia experience
  • A highly developed aesthetic that deeply connects with our client’s visual standards, demonstrated through a compelling portfolio showcasing consistent, A+ taste level and excellent execution
  • Broad and encyclopedic knowledge of photographers across numerous genres, including portraiture, fine art, and conceptual photography
  • Extensive familiarity with all types of sources for existing photography, from large and small stock houses to galleries and artists’ personal projects
  • In-depth understanding of image rights, contract negotiation, and legal clearance processes for licensed content
  • Exceptional communication skills, clear, concise, and impactful
  • Proven ability to thrive in a highly collaborative team environment, instinctively understanding the value of building strong relationships
  • Resourcefulness, ingenuity in solving complex visual challenges, and unwavering dependability
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Art, Photography, Art History, or Communication is preferred
