Job Responsibility:

  • Analyze, transcribe, and annotate speech and linguistic data using phonetic principles and IPA notation
  • Support the development, testing, and evaluation of speech recognition and synthesis systems
  • Collaborate with linguists, engineers, and researchers to refine pronunciation databases and language resources
  • Assist in curating, organizing, and maintaining audio datasets for language technology projects
  • Contribute to the preparation of project documentation, reports, and training materials
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency in all phonetic transcriptions and annotations
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with advancements in phonetics and language technology

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Phonetics, Applied Linguistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Solid understanding of phonetic theory, IPA, and speech sound classification
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to perform precise linguistic analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including clear, concise documentation abilities
  • Comfort working collaboratively in a remote, cross-functional team environment
  • Enthusiasm for learning new tools and techniques relevant to phonetics and language technology
  • Proficiency with productivity software and willingness to learn industry-specific tools

Nice to have:
