Job Description:

At CVS Health, Pharmacy Technicians play a critical role in supporting the pharmacy team to ensure operational and service excellence. They assist with prescription fulfillment, patient care, inventory tasks, and promoting a safe and inclusive workplace. Extensive training and state-specific licensure are required.

Job Responsibility:

Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation
Following pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Creating positive patient experiences and delivering compassionate care
Completing basic inventory activities as directed
Contributing to a high-performing team with a growth mindset
Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs
Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and ethical standards
Supporting immunizations and other patient health care services where permissible.

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Attention and focus, including the ability to concentrate on a task over a long period and pivot quickly between tasks
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
Use and understand verbal and written communication
Strong mathematical reasoning for solving pharmacy-related calculations
Physical abilities including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and precise finger movement.

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs.
