Pharmacy Technician

• Prepares and distributes medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist
• Filling and labeling medications
• Refilling Pyxis
• Delivering medications to patient care areas
• Preparing IV admixture solutions
• Answering the telephone and directing the call to the appropriate staff
• Maintaining medication stock levels and maintaining proper storage of medications to ensure safe and cost effective pharmaceutical services
• Proficient in basic computer skills and appropriately uses information systems, technology and automation to complete assigned task

• High School, Cert, GED, Trn, Exper
• Registered Pharmacy Technician
• One year pharmacy hospital technician experience (or equivalent experience) or graduate of the BHSF Pharmacy Technician Program
• PTCB or ExCPT Certification preferred and required within the year for sterile compounding
