Job Description:

Pharmacy Technician role at CVS Health supporting pharmacy teams to deliver operational and service excellence. Technicians assist the pharmacy team to ensure that pharmacy operations run smoothly, patients' prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and provide caring service that exceeds patient expectations. The role involves working across various pharmacy workstations including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.

Job Responsibility:

Support pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence
Assist patients and customers to deliver exceptional experience
Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly
Fill patients' prescriptions promptly, safely, and accurately
Follow Standard Operating Procedures and best practices
Demonstrate genuine care in all interactions
Complete company training program and satisfy registration, licensing, and certification requirements
Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy
Complete basic inventory activities as directed by pharmacy leadership
Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs
Understand and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards
Deliver additional patient health care services where allowable by law
Support immunizations where permissible

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
If state board does not mandate minimum age, must be at least 16 years of age
If state board does not mandate minimum education, must have high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school
State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
Notice and understand patients' reactions and respond appropriately
Use and understand verbal and written communication
Ability to use math to solve problems
Identifying challenging interactions and choosing best course of action
Physical ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods
Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
Reach overhead and stretch to grasp items
Move fingers repetitively for typing and picking
Extend hands and arms in multiple directions
Control precision to adjust machines to exact positions
Stoop requiring full use of lower extremities and back muscles
Close visual acuity for transcribing, reading, and inspection
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally and 10 lbs frequently
Ability to express or exchange ideas by spoken word
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations
