Job Description:

Pharmacy Technician role at CVS Health supporting pharmacy teams to deliver operational and service excellence. Technicians assist the pharmacy team to ensure smooth pharmacy operations, accurate prescription fulfillment, and provide caring service that exceeds patient expectations. Role involves working at various pharmacy workstations and may include immunization support where permitted by law.

Job Responsibility:

Support pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence
Assist patients and customers to deliver exceptional experience
Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly
Fill prescriptions promptly, safely, and accurately
Follow Standard Operating Procedures at all workstations
Operate at pharmacy workstations including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off
Show empathy and genuine care for patients
Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law
Support immunizations where allowable by law
Educate patients about importance of vaccines
Monitor for and respond to adverse reactions
Review and collect patient information
Monitor and manage vaccine supplies

Requirements:

Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
If state board does not mandate minimum age, must be at least 16 years of age
If state board does not mandate minimum education, must have high school diploma or equivalent or be actively enrolled
Regular and predictable attendance including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to concentrate on tasks and pivot quickly between tasks
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Customer service orientation with friendly manner
Good communication skills including verbal, written and active listening
Mathematical reasoning ability for prescription calculations
Problem resolution skills
Physical mobility and ability to remain upright for extended periods
Ability to lift, scan and bag items
Ability to reach overhead and stretch
Finger dexterity for repetitive tasks
Ability to stoop and bend
Close visual acuity for reading and inspection
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication

Nice to have:

1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in home store and across market in other locations
