Job Description:

Thrifty White Pharmacy is seeking out a Pharmacy Technician-in-Training in Wahpeton ND to start/grow their pharmacy career. The training program consists of 400.5 total hours; 271.25 of these hours are completed at the pharmacy as paid time. The remaining 129.25 hours are unpaid and are to be completed online.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing excellent customer service to customers by building loyalty and repeat business
  • Champions Thrifty White programs to patients such as Ready Refill, Medication Synchronization and HealthyPackRx and assists with enrolling patients
  • Maintains prescription information to ensure accurate records
  • Understands and follows Medicare Part B requirements
  • Troubleshoots any rejected claims or billing issues
  • Assists customers with Medicare Part D questions
  • Maintains proper level of nursing home filling procedures

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Currently be or willing to become a certified pharmacy technician registered in the state of MN
  • Willing to commit to completing the training program within 17 weeks of enrollment

  • Able to learn and implement new and changing technologies
  • Able to maintain flexibility in new or changing work roles
  • Willing to help anywhere in the store or nearby locations as needed
  • Physical demands: ability to stand for long periods, talk, hear, use hands and fingers, handle/operate objects/tools/controls, reach with hands/arms, occasionally lift/move up to 40 pounds, specific vision abilities
  • Completion of Thrifty White Pharmacy's Training Program (ASHP/ACPE Accredited)
  • All registration, licensing, and certification requirements according to the North Dakota Board of Pharmacy
