The Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader (PMEL) plays a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence in their pharmacy by acting as a role model for all, demonstrating genuine care, and setting the bar for the pharmacy team, while developing their own leadership skills in preparation for increasing responsibility. This position involves completing a self-paced, collaborative training roadmap with both virtual and hands-on learning experiences to prepare for leading a pharmacy independently.
Job Responsibility:
Cultivating a culture of excellence in pharmacy
Acting as a role model for all pharmacy team members
Developing leadership skills in preparation for increasing responsibility
Supporting home store Pharmacy Manager
Managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Overseeing pharmacy as proxy during bench shifts
Strengthening pharmacy performance measures through effective coaching
Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contributing to positive patient experiences
Proactively offering and delivering immunizations
Managing pharmacy inventory
Ensuring compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
Writing pharmacy schedule if directed
Maintaining clinical and technical skills
Supporting pharmacist delivered clinical care
Requirements:
6+ months of experience as a Staff or District Support Pharmacist
Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
Notice and understand patients' reactions and respond appropriately
Use and understand verbal and written communication
Utilize active listening
Provide clear and actionable direction, coaching and feedback
Ability to use math to solve pharmacy problems
Identifying challenging interactions and choosing the best course of action
Physical mobility and ability to lift up to 20 lbs
Nice to have:
1+ years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require
