As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, you will apply your pharmacy school learning into real-world practice to become ready for a Pharmacist role. Responsibilities include supporting pharmacy teams, assisting with prescription fulfillment, patient counseling, inventory management, and delivering additional health care services. The position emphasizes continuous learning and professional development.
Job Responsibility:
Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation
Following pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation
Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
Offering to counsel, fielding medical questions, and soliciting information on a patient’s medical history
Taking telephonic prescriptions from the prescriber, and calling the prescriber to clarify prescriptions or facilitate medication changes
Maintaining the highest level of self-awareness and providing in-the-moment coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members
Completing basic inventory activities, such as accurately putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts
Contributing to a high-performing team, embracing a growth mindset, and being receptive to feedback
Remaining flexible for both scheduling and business needs
Understanding and complying with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles
Delivering additional patient health care services, such as immunizations
Requirements:
PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Nice to have:
1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to become immunization certified
Ability to work in home store, and across the market in other locations
