Job Description:

As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, you will apply your education and pharmacy skills into real-world practice in preparation for a Pharmacist role. You will assist the pharmacy team in maintaining pharmacy operations and delivering caring service to patients. You will also complete a structured training program, deepen your knowledge of pharmacy procedures, and contribute to the improvement of patient health services.

Job Responsibility:

following pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
contributing to positive patient experiences
offering to counsel, fielding medical questions, and soliciting information on a patient’s medical history
maintaining high self-awareness and providing in-the-moment coaching, training, and mentoring
completing inventory activities
contributing to a high-performing team
voluntarily traveling to stores in the market to work shifts as needed
understanding and complying with federal, state, and local laws and regulations
delivering additional patient health care services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing

Requirements:

PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
attention and focus
customer service and team orientation
communication skills
mathematical reasoning
problem resolution
physical demands as outlined in the description

Nice to have:

1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
ability to become immunization certified
proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
