As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, you will apply your pharmacy school learning in real-world practice under guidance. Responsibilities include assisting pharmacy operations, interacting with patients, supporting immunizations, training and mentoring pharmacy team members, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Contributing to positive patient experiences
Taking telephonic prescriptions and calling prescribers to clarify or facilitate medication changes
Maintaining self-awareness and providing coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members
Completing basic inventory activities
Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs
Supporting immunizations, including educating patients about vaccines, monitoring adverse reactions, and documenting vaccination events.
Requirements:
PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Attention and focus for tasks over a period of time
Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
Use and understand verbal and written communication
Utilize active listening skills
Ability to use math to solve pharmacy-related problems
Identify challenging interactions and choose the best course of action
Physical ability to remain mobile and lift up to 20 lbs
Compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles.
Nice to have:
1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to become immunization certified
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
