Job Description:

3rd year Pharmacy Intern role at CVS Health focused on transforming health care for customers. The position involves applying pharmacy school learning to real-world practice, working under a preceptor to develop skills for a future Pharmacist role through comprehensive training, hands-on experience, and exposure to store, district, and regional operations.

Job Responsibility:

Apply didactic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice
Complete comprehensive training roadmap with Key Learning Experiences
Assist pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations
Fill prescriptions promptly, safely, and accurately
Provide caring service that exceeds patient expectations
Operate pharmacy workstations (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off)
Demonstrate empathy and genuine care
Offer to counsel patients under pharmacist supervision
Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers
Complete basic inventory activities
Deliver additional patient health care services (immunizations, point-of-care testing)

Requirements:

Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Attention and focus
Customer service and team orientation
Communication skills
Mathematical reasoning
Problem resolution
Physical demands including mobility, lifting, and visual acuity

Nice to have:

1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to become immunization certified
Ability to work in home store and across the market in other locations
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
